The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College organized a Yoga session from 19.04.2022 to 23.04.2022. The objectives of the programme were:
- To enrich the students’ knowledge about Yogasanas and their benefits.
- To inculcate in the students the habit of following a healthy lifestyle regime.
The session was conducted by a certified yoga instructor, Ms. Mitu Kumari. She introduced trainee teachers to many asanas like Surya Namaskar, Balasana, Tadasana, and many more, which proved to be very effective for teacher trainees
and faculty members. The exercises were clubbed with proper instructions about all the asanas and their benefits. The trainer also talked about the appropriate time and conditions to perform the asanas for better effectiveness. Each day of the yoga session was a wonderful experience for all the students. It was indeed an enlightening session and the need of the hour.
