The Teacher Trainees from the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, visited the Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan (Patna Zoo) on World Sparrow Day (20th March 2024), joining forces with Environment Warriors for an event themed “Small Bird, Big Effect: Sparrow Matters.” The day featured a painting exhibition showcasing sparrows’ importance, followed by a creative writing competition highlighting their significance in our ecosystem. Officials addressed the urgent need for sparrow conservation, culminating in a symposium fostering collaboration and commitment to protecting these vital birds. The event left a lasting impact, inspiring advocacy and action for sparrow conservation among all participants.
