The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous organized a guest lecture on 28th July 2023 on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day. Renowned medical expert, Dr. Awanish Kumar, Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist at Ruban Memorial Hospital, Patna delivered the lecture titled “One Life, One Liver.” He covered topics ranging from hepatitis virus transmission and sources to different types of hepatitis, their symptoms, treatment, and prevention. Dr. Kumar’s informative talk left a lasting impact, raising awareness about liver health and inspiring proactive measures among the attendees. It was followed by an interactive session in which the students inquired about fatty liver stage 2, dietary practices for a healthy liver, and liver transplantation, among other topics. In response to these queries, Dr. Kumar provided valuable insights and practical tips for maintaining a healthy liver.
Overall, the guest lecture on World Hepatitis Day at the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous proved to be an enlightening and engaging experience for all attendees. The event not only raised awareness about hepatitis but also encouraged students to take proactive steps towards ensuring their liver’s well-being, ultimately contributing to a healthier community.
