A two-day Workshop on Preparation of Teaching Aids was conducted for the third-semester teacher trainees (session 2023-25) in the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, on 21st and 22nd May 2024. The resource persons for the workshop were Ms. Yamini and Dr. Nitu Chauhan, Assistant Professors, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous. The workshop aimed to equip the trainees with the skills and knowledge needed to create effective and innovative teaching aids, enhancing the teaching-learning process and making classroom instruction more interactive and impactful.
The first day of the workshop began with an introductory session where the importance and types of teaching aids were discussed. Various examples of teaching aids were also presented, before the trainees. An exhibition of various types of teaching aids like charts, models, and flashcards was also organized for the students.
On the second day the trainees engaged in a hands-on session where they worked to create their own teaching aids, in their respective method papers. The trainees were provided with constructive feedback on their teaching aids, highlighting strengths and suggesting areas for improvement.
The workshop on the preparation of teaching aids for B.Ed. students provided them with valuable skills and knowledge, encouraging innovative teaching practices and enhancing their ability to create engaging learning environments.
