The second-semester students (session 2023-25) of the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, bore witness to the ‘live your dreams’ concept at Kilkari Bal Bhawan, Saidpur, Patna, as part of their field visit program on 1 March 2024. The visit began with a warm welcome and a traditional tilak ceremony, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.

Under the guidance of Mr. Akash, the coordinator, the teacher trainees were divided into groups and paired with dedicated guides to navigate the various sections of Kilkari. As the trainees explored, they were captivated by the vibrant artwork on display, especially the Terracotta paintings and art facilities, including the digital studio and the well-equipped science room.

The music room held a special charm, where the trainees witnessed the dedication of special children passionately singing. Learning about the achievements of students who had performed in Goa and received recognition from the Chief Minister of Bihar was truly inspiring for the trainees.

Engaging in activities in the theatre and drama room, such as brain exercises and watching documentaries showcasing Kilkari’s accomplishments, added depth to their understanding. Ms. Jyoti Parihar, the institution’s director, offered words of wisdom, and the trainees’ heartfelt recitation of self-composed poems further enriched the experience.

As the visit approached its end, the students expressed gratitude through a vote of thanks, highlighting the significance of such inclusive educational initiatives. Departing from Kilkari, the trainees carried with them a renewed appreciation for the power of creativity and inclusivity in shaping young minds.
