On the radiant morning of September 5th, the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, embraced the spirit of gratitude and admiration as they celebrated Teachers’ Day with unparalleled zeal. This annual tribute to the dedicated educators who shape the destiny of their students filled the atmosphere with profound reverence.
The festivities commenced with Astha and Uzma Rahman inviting the revered professors to partake in the solemn lighting of the lamp and the offering of garlands to the illustrious portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. This solemn act was followed by Prayer Service and Guru Vandana, setting the tone for a day steeped in reverence.
The students graced the stage with a captivating array of cultural performances, including a melodious welcome song, a mesmerizing South Indian dance, and an enchanting series of solo singing. The pinnacle of the event arrived with a series of meticulously planned games conducted by Shagufta Afreen and Sadaf Rahman. These games ignited the competitive spirit and created a sense of fun in teaching and non-teaching staff. Games like “Guess the Song,” “Flip the Bottle,” and the ever-entertaining “musical chairs” added a delightful dimension to the festivities, leaving everyone in high spirits.
In a touching gesture, students took the stage to recite self-composed poetry, artfully coordinated by Shambhavi Anand.
