As a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and his dream of ‘Free India’, which included not only political freedom but also a clean and developed nation, students and staff of the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous started Swachhta Special Campaign 3.0, an initiative of the Government of India, in accordance with National Council for Teacher Education‘s F. No. NCTE-GA 019/34/2023 @swachhbharat Ministry of Education @DARPG_GoI @SwachhBharatGov, by taking the Swachhta Pledge, on 3rd October 2023. The pledge was led by Dr Rashmi Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous. Everyone took an oath to keep their surroundings clean and contribute to the nation’s sanitation drive, by conducting Shramdaan activities for two hours every week. In the end, everyone committed to spreading the message of cleanliness to as many people as possible.
