School Exposure is an integral and unique part of any teacher education programme. The objectives of the programme were:

  • To expose the teacher trainees to the opportunities and challenges of actual school teaching and related experiences.
  • To give first-hand experience to the young trainee teachers on the nuances of teaching in schools.

The second school exposure programme was held online from 12th July 2021 to 30th July 2021. The theme for the exposure programme was “Doomsday Boon: Positivity in crisis”. The main purpose of this programme was to prepare the students for their internship in schools. The programme included a mixed bag of learning experiences like a workshop on Take and Make, sessions on lesson planning, teaching aids, preparation of E-Contents and a group presentation on Doomsday boon. In short, it was like from being artistic to geeky. The students were asked to prepare a record of their day-to-day learning experiences in the Daily Report. The teacher trainees also learnt to collaborate virtually, showcase their creativity with the use of online platforms and work towards refinement of their teaching as well as technical skills. The programme proved to be highly enriching for the students.
