A flow of spirituality and a combination of perfect grammar, Sanskrit, one of India’s classical languages, has been sadly forgotten in recent times. In order to revive and promote this beautiful language, believed to be that of God, the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College, organised a ‘Sanskrit Diwas Programme’ on 14th August 2019.  The Objectives of the programme were: 

Objectives: 

  • To learn the significance of Sanskrit
  • To enrich students’ knowledge of the Sanskrit language
  • To develop sensitiveness towards the Sanskrit language and its conservation and propagation

The teacher trainees of the first year actively participated in the programme by reciting poems and singing songs in Sanskrit.

The chief guest of the programme Dr. Smita Kumari, Head and Dean of the Sanskrit Department, addressed the students. She elaborated on the beauty of Sanskrit and stressed the need to promote it. She also spoke on the various aspects of the language and urged the students to learn and understand it.
