On the eve of the 72nd Republic Day the students of the Department of Education, Patna women’s college organized Inter- House Singing Competition following the Covid 19 safety norms. The students of four houses of the department, Red, Blue, Green and Yellow competed with each other. Different codes were assigned to each group. They sang the song ‘Tere Mitti mai mil Jawan…’, ‘Mera Karma Tu….’, ‘Ye Desh Meri Jaan….’, ‘Aey Mere Watan Ke Logo….’ The event commenced with welcoming of judges and followed by recitation of mantra to pray for the well being of all people. The judges were Dr. Sister M. Saroj A.C. and Dr. Shubhra. The video of new India tableau was displayed. The judge Dr. Sister M. Saroj A.C. told students to keep up patriotic fervour every day. It should not be limited to just one day. She also said that India’s beauty lies in its diversity and one should respect each one’s culture. The Head and Dean of the Department Dr. Upasana Singh addressed the student and declared the result. The winner was GreenHouse (Code 1) and Vote of thanks was proposed by Jyoti Kumari.
