To celebrate the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, in association with Eco Task Force, Srishti (Student Environment Club) and PWC Alumni Association organized a Kite-making competition on 12th January 2024. The event aimed to bring together students and encourage teamwork, creativity, and a celebration of traditional craftsmanship. Twenty students, in groups of ten from the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous also participated in the competition. The judges for the competition were Dr. Zareen Fatima, Head Department of Economics, Ms. Papita Dey Biswas, Co-ordinator Performing Arts, and Dr. Kamlendra Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy.
The result of the competition was announced the next day by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, during the celebration of Organic Makar Sankranti. All the ten groups from the department made colourful kites, with insightful messages. Nisha and Renuka Biswas, fourth semester students of the Department of Education bagged second place in the competition. We congratulate all the participants for their efforts.
