On 12th January 2024, the students of the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous had the privilege of attending an engaging and insightful interactive session with Ms. Archana Rani, the esteemed Director of the German Language Centre, Patna. The session aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the importance of language learning, particularly German, and to foster a deeper appreciation for cultural exchange and global communication.
The session began with an introduction to the German Language Centre, its mission, and its role in promoting German language education and its significance according to the three-language formula. For the ice-breaker session a small quiz was conducted, and participants were given small prizes.
Ms. Archana highlighted the privilege of being a foreign language teacher. As a learner, one can also learn to teach the language, while learning the language. She gave practical information about career opportunities for individuals proficient in German, particularly in the field of teaching in India.
The session not only highlighted the importance of language learning but also provided practical insights into the cultural and career advantages associated with proficiency in the German language.
