The Social Science Club of The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, organised an Inter House Quiz Competition, on the theme ‘Water’, on 12th April 2023; under the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, in accordance with NCTE’s AKAM celebrations. Four teams of two members each represented the four Houses- Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. The Quiz was compèred jointly by Komal Bharti and Somi Ali. Muskan Gupta was the timekeeper and Shikha Bharti was responsible for keeping track of the scores. The quiz consisted of five rounds; beginning with MCQs presented on Slides, Pick the Chit round, Maps, Question and Answer and Buzzer round. The teams were granted one Lifeline to seek assistance from a House member seated in the audience.
At the end, Red House, comprising Mallika and Ragini, won securing 50 points. The Blue House team of Yukta and Toshi were a close second with 40 points. Monica and Jyoti of Green House secured third position and the Yellow House team of Aprana and Kanchan came fourth with 20 points.
The Head of the Department, Dr. Sr. M. Saroj A.C. congratulated the winners as well as the Social Science Club for successfully organising this Quiz Competition featuring the major global concern, ‘Water’. The whole programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Madhumita, Assistant Professor and Sponsor, Social Science Club.
