The Department of Education observed Hindi Pakhwara and celebrated Hindi Diwas from 1st September 2020 to 15th September, 2020. The theme for Hindi Diwas was Hindi Sahitya ke Bahurang. The Objectives of the programme were:

  • To enrich students’ knowledge and understanding of the Hindi language and its different forms.
  • To sensitise the students about the deteriorating status of the Hindi language.
  • To enable the students to take innovative initiatives to conserve and preserve the Hindi language.

On the first day of the celebration, poetry recitation, a Hindi ghazal competition and Hindi Speech on the theme were organised. On other days, different hues of Hindi were displayed. Lok Katha Competition was held in which students visually depicted different folk tales and fables of Hindi. Shri Hrishikesh Sulabh, a renowned Hindi writer, delivered a lecture on the theme on 14th September. On 15th September, the finale was marked by the organisation of ‘Hindi Lok Manas’ in which the participants sang their ‘Lokgeet’. The concluding remarks were given by Dr. Gyandev Mani Tripathi, Dean, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, who emphasised ‘Katha Saahitya ke Visfot keYug mein Lok Saahitya ka Mahatav’.
