The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College celebrated Hindi Diwas from 1st to 14th September 2019. It aimed to promote the use of the Hindi language and to take pride in it. The Objectives of the programme were:
- To enrich students’ knowledge and understanding of Hindi language and its different forms.
- To sensitise the students about the deteriorating status of Hindi language.
- To enable the students to take innovative initiatives to conserve and preserve Hindi language.
On 3rd September 2019, a Wall Magazine competition was carried out on the topic ‘Hindi Me Bhav Ras’ for the teacher trainees of the first year. Each house presented their posters comprising of pictures, quotes and poems related to significant Ras.
On 5th September 2019, a skit was enacted through which the participants showed different types of emotions. The guest of the day, Mr.Hrishikesh Sulabh, a Hindi writer and playwright, unveiled the beauty of the language. He stressed upon ‘ Hindi Hamari Shaan Hain . ‘
The programme ended on 14th September with an Inter House Competition on ‘Kavi Charitrakhyan’ and ‘Lekhak Parichay’, with the help of a Powerpoint Presentation, which was won by Blue and Green House, respectively. A Ghazal Competition was also held, giving a melodious closure to the programme. The Head and Dean of the Dept, Patna Women’s College, Dr. Upasana Singh, congratulated the winners.
