Life on campus is needed to be joyful, colourful and friendly. The Department of Education, Patna Womens’ College Autonomous, organized a ‘Freshers’ Day function, on 5th August 2023, to welcome the new faces of 2023-25 batch.
The programme started with the lighting of lamp by the Head of the Department, Dr. M. Saroj A.C. along with the honourable jury members. The programme was hosted by the students of first semester, Srishti Kumari and Nupur Amar. After invoking the Almighty, the programme was initiated by a mesmerizing welcome song. It was followed by a graceful prayer dance. The much awaited event of the day was the Miss Freshers’ contest in which the participants were judged on the basis of three rounds – the Rhythmic Walk, Introduce yourself and Quick mind based on situational questions. Thereafter a skit was performed on the theme ‘Utsaah’, followed by a sensational medley dance. Then our honourable jury members addressed the audience with their words of wisdom. Towards the end of the programme, the much awaited results of the Miss Freshers’ Contest was declared by the Head of the Department. The winners of the contest were Vidushi Bharti (Miss Fresher), Nikhat Perveen (1st runner up), and Sushmita Murmu (2nd runner up). The programme ended with the Vote of Thanks, proposed by Anjali Raj (session 2023 – 25).
