Museums are the window to the history and culture of a place. To revisit our State’s rich heritage, the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, organized a two-day visit to Bihar Museum, for the first semester students of session 2023-25, on 27th and 28th July 2023.
The visit provided students with a hands-on and immersive learning experience and exposed them to various artefacts, exhibits, and historical collections. The students were assigned knowledgeable guides from whom they received a guided tour of the museum, during which the guide explained the history of the museum, its architecture, various exhibits and collections. During the visit, a documentary related to significant historical events in Bihar was screened for the students. This provided additional context and insights into the subject matter.
Experiencing different cultural artefacts and historical items encouraged students to develop a greater appreciation for the rich cultural diversity of our State Bihar. The students were accompanied by Dr Shubhra and Ms Swati Shilpi, Assistant Professors, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous.
