The Department of Education observed ‘National Education Day’ on 11th November, 2020 by organising an Essay Writing Competition on the topic ‘Suggestions of New Education Policy in School Education’. The Objectives of the programme were:
Objectives:
- To enrich students’ knowledge about Sardar Patel’s role in the unification of Indian states.
- To develop a sense of respect and appreciation towards the efforts and values of Sardar Patel.
The students participated with great enthusiasm. Through their essays, they threw light upon the New Education Policy, 2020 and how it can bring about positive changes in the education system of our country.
Due to the pandemic going on, the competition was held virtually; all the participants were guided to send their entries on a given Email ID. The essays were then judged, and the winners were announced.
