As an endeavour to solidify the bond of oneness and unification , the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 11th November 2019 by organizing an essay competition on ‘Sardar Patel: A Symbol of National Unity in the Present Context’. The Objectives of the programme were:
Objectives:
- To enrich students’ knowledge about Sardar Patel’s role in the unification of Indian states.
- To develop a sense of respect and appreciation towards the efforts and values of Sardar Patel.
The competition was organized for B. Ed. first-year teacher trainees. It gave them an opportunity to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the life and involvement of the great leader, Sardar Patel. The competition infused the trainees with knowledge and adoration of India’s rich heritage.
