The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, organized a departmental seminar on 11th March 2024 on the theme ‘Enhancing Teaching-Learning Practices in Light of NEP 2020’. Teacher trainees from the first and second years showcased their research work via PowerPoint presentations. Eight teams participated in this seminar, with each team comprising three, two, or even one member.

Shambhavi Anand and Anjali Raj welcomed the participants, faculty and jury of the event, which consisted of Dr. Prabhas Ranjan, Dr. Shubhra, and Ms. Swati Shilpi, (Assistant Professors, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College). The groups delved into different topics. The topics explored were wide-ranging, including The Role Of ICT in the Quality of English Language Teaching, Comparative Analysis of Evaluation Practices between NPE 1986 and NEP 2020, Disparities in the Access of ICT and its Impact on Education, Exploring the Teaching Strategies in the Light of NEP 2020, Utility of Regional Languages in School Education, Role and Challenges of ICT in the Light Of NEP 2020: Implementation in School Education, Enhancing Critical Thinking in Primary Education through Quality Teaching Strategies, and SWAYAM in Transition.

Following the presentations, the jury and the faculty engaged in questioning and offered commendations for the trainees’ efforts. This enlightening program not only showcased the vibrant research ideas of young minds but also fostered an environment of exploration and innovation within the academic community. In the end, Shikha Rani proposed the vote of thanks.

The paper titled ‘Exploring the Teaching Strategies in the Light of NEP 2020’, by Sister Ashwini C., Sushma Singh and Alisha, was selected as the best paper presented in the seminar.
