On 25th November 2023, the first semester students (session 2023-25) of the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, celebrated Constitution Day during the morning assembly. The theme of the assembly was “नागरिक मूल्यों का सम्मान : हमारा संविधान”. Constitution Day commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949. The objective of the celebration was to honour the guiding principles of the Indian Constitution, educate students about their rights and duties as citizens, and emphasize the significance of upholding democratic values.
Through the assembly, the students tried to create awareness about the history and importance of the Indian Constitution in shaping the nation. They also discussed Fundamental Rights enshrined in the Constitution, its makers, and the rights and responsibilities it guarantees to every citizen. A quiz was also organised to enhance students’ knowledge about the Constitution and its key provisions.
The assembly concluded with all participants- students and faculty alike taking a pledge to uphold the values and principles of the Constitution and contribute positively to the nation’s progress, which was followed by the National Anthem.
