The students of the Guidance and Counseling cell of the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, organized a career counselling programme for the pupils of Shastri Nagar Girls High School on 21st March 2024. The programme focused on giving the school students insight into the career options available and helping them assess their abilities, values, and interests.
The programme began with an orientation regarding various career options available to the students belonging to various streams. They were guided to know the benefits of career guidance. The organizing committee was divided into three groups of Humanities, Commerce and Science. The students were encouraged to ask questions and solve their queries pertaining to career options according to their interests. The above three groups gave their suggestions and put forward their knowledge based on the research they had made on the best career plans at the disposal of the young ones.
The programme ended when all the students were satisfied with the direction they received from the teacher trainees regarding their career options.
