On 12th August 2024 as part of Anti-Ragging Day, the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous presented two videos to the third-semester teacher trainees (session 2023-25). These videos highlighted that ragging is a serious crime and should not occur under any circumstances. It was emphasised that as educators, it is their responsibility to prevent and combat ragging, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students. The videos also detailed the legal consequences of engaging in or allowing ragging, including potential imprisonment. The aim was to reinforce the importance of upholding a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and to encourage all trainees to foster a supportive and non-discriminatory atmosphere within educational institutions. This initiative underscores the commitment to maintaining the highest standards of conduct and integrity in the academic environment.
