Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Observed with Pledge and Run for Unity – Department of Education, Patna Women's College, Autonomous

The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on 31 October 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and reaffirm the importance of national unity, integrity and security.

The programme began with a pledge-taking ceremony in which students and faculty members affirmed their commitment to preserving the unity and integrity of the nation. The pledge emphasised the responsibility of citizens to contribute to national solidarity and security.

This was followed by a Run for Unity on the college campus. Students and staff participated in the activity to convey the message of national integration, solidarity and collective responsibility.

The observance recalled Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution to the integration of India. It also encouraged the future teachers of the department to promote unity, peace and responsible citizenship in educational institutions and the wider community.
