The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), organised a special assembly titled “Living Water: Every Drop is Sacred” on 15 September 2026 as part of the Season of Creation. The programme focused on water literacy, conservation and the responsibility of individuals and communities towards the natural environment.

The assembly began with silent meditation and prayer. A Rigvedic verse, “आपो हि ष्ठा मयोभुवः”, was invoked to reflect upon water as a source of well-being and sustenance. The opening reflection linked the cultural understanding of water with the present need to protect and conserve it.

Students presented poetry and a data-based presentation on the water crisis at global and national levels. A short theatrical performance drew attention to water wastage and scarcity. The programme also included an acoustic guitar performance celebrating the beauty and importance of water bodies.

The programme concluded with faculty members and students taking a pledge to avoid wastage of water and practise responsible use of natural resources. The assembly brought together reflection, information and creative expression to strengthen awareness of water conservation.
