The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), organised a yoga session on “Water: The Breath of Creation” on 21 September 2026 as part of the Season of Creation. The programme focused on water literacy, personal well-being and ecological responsibility, encouraging students to consider the importance of water in both the human body and the natural environment.

The session was conducted by Ms. Yamini, Assistant Professor, Department of Education. She explained the significance of maintaining water balance in the body and discussed the source and active points associated with water, along with the effects of excess or insufficient water.
Students were introduced to Sheetali, Sheetkari and Chandra Bhedi Pranayama as practices associated with balance and well-being. The discussion also covered Varun Mudra and Jalodhar Nashak Mudra, followed by a practical yoga session.

The programme concluded with meditation, offering participants an opportunity for reflection and inner balance. The session connected everyday practices of self-care with a wider awareness of the value of water and the responsibility to protect it.
