The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous in association with Sanjay Gandhi Javik Udyan, Patna organised a plantation drive ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, on 20th July 2024. In total seventy-two B.Ed. trainees registered for the plantation drive. The representatives from Patna Zoo provided each registered trainee with a plant sapling of their choice like Jamun, Amaltaas, Kusum, or Mahogany, to plant in their homes. The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign aims to inculcate in the youth the feeling of taking care of a plant like your child, later when it becomes a tree, it will take care of you like your mother. The drive was a huge success with the enthusiastic participation of the students as well as the faculty of the department, and the assistance of Sanjay Gandhi Javik Udyan, Patna.
