The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous organized an intensive and insightful Workshop on Micro Teaching for the students of session 2023-25. The workshop aimed to provide the trainees with the opportunity to practice and refine their teaching skills in a controlled, and supportive environment. The workshop was conducted in blended mode. For the theoretical portion of the workshop, the students were provided with video lectures, which were followed by query solving sessions in the classroom.

The workshop began with an introductory session explaining the concept and importance of micro teaching, whereafter each teaching skills were discussed in detail. The students started to practice their micro teaching skills from 24th May onwards. For this purpose they were divided into small groups, where each student conducts a micro-teaching session, delivering their planned lesson to their peers. After each micro teaching session, the student receives feedback from peers and a faculty member.

The workshop provides the trainees valuable opportunities to practice and improve their teaching skills, receive constructive feedback, and build confidence.
