On 21st December 2023, the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, organized a vibrant and joyous Christmas Programme to celebrate the festive season. The event aimed to bring together students, faculty, and staff to commemorate the spirit of Christmas, spread cheer, and foster a sense of unity and cultural appreciation within the campus.
The event commenced with a soothing prayer dance by second-semester students, which was followed by melodious Hindi Carol ‘Bethlehem main chamka sitara’, performed by Sister Velcima and her group. A skit written by Muskan Gupta, fourth-semester student, titled ‘Bethlam ki ek shubh sandhya’, depicting the birth of Jesus Christ, was enacted. The rendition of English Carol ‘Felix Navidad’, by second semester students mesmerized the audience. Then Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, addressed the audience and explained the significance of celebrating Christmas. She motivated the students to become a guiding star that helps others to choose the best in life. The programme culminated with a joyful dance and the appearance of Santa Claus distributing gifts to the students. The students also shared small gifts for the needy, spreading the message of love and joy associated with Christmas. The Christmas Programme successfully created a festive atmosphere, spreading joy and cheer among attendees.
