The 75th Republic Day of India was celebrated with immense zeal and fervour in the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, on 25th January 2024. The event was marked by patriotic fervour, showcasing the unity, diversity, and spirit of democracy that define our nation. Students organized a prayer service seeking the Lord’s blessings on our nation and sang a melodious patriotic song, ‘Desh mere’. The highlight of the programme was the special emphasis laid on the involvement of women in the creation of our Republic, like Suchita Kriplani, Sarojini Naidu, Vijyalakshmi Pandit and Ammu Swaminathan. They also organized a short quiz on the ‘Know your nation’ theme. The celebration concluded with the staff and students taking oaths to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution and then singing the National Anthem.
