The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, organised an online Departmental Seminar on the topic – ‘Knowledge of India’ on May 18, 2023. Total seven teams participated in this seminar. The research problems that were chosen for presentation highlighted the growing need to revive traditional Indian values, customs, practices and traditions.

Aliya welcomed the participants, professors and jury of the event, which consisted of Dr. Shubhra, Ms. Waeza Afshan and Ms. Swati Shilpi, (Assistant Professors, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College). Each team was allocated five minutes for presentation and two minutes to field questions. The teams were coded from 01 to 07 and the topic of their Seminar Papers were; ‘Contrasting Education and Values of Pre-colonial and Post-colonial India’, ‘Learning and Practising Handicraft in Global World’, ‘Common People’s Perspective of Value System Inherent in Indian Epics’, ‘Contrasting Traditional Values and Consumerist Culture in Education’, ‘Challenges of Integrating Yoga in School Curriculum’, ‘Aam Logon Dwara Yogabhyas Sikhne se Sambhandhit Avdharnaon ka Adhyayan’, and ‘Yogic Practitioner’s Perspectives about Significance of Food Habits for Yogic Understanding of Well-being’ respectively.

Code 01, consisting of Monika Kumari Yadav, Shikha Bharti and Sonika Kumari Yadav were judged the best presenters. Their paper was ‘Contrasting Education and Values of Pre-colonial and Post-colonial India’. Head of the Department, Dr. Sister M. Saroj A.C. congratulated all participating teams for their concerted efforts and recognized the unwavering guidance of Dr. Prabhas Ranjan and Dr. Nitu Chauhan which made this Seminar a huge success. The learnings derived by the participants during the study were invaluable, she reiterated. In the end Sabahat proposed the vote of thanks.
